EXTREME WEATHER PHENOMENA

Germany, like many other countries, is experiencing extreme weather phenomena that are becoming increasingly frequent and severe due to climate change. From heatwaves and droughts to heavy rainfall and flooding, extreme weather events are affecting various regions of the country, causing significant economic and environmental impacts. In recent years, Germany has witnessed some of the most devastating weather events in its history. Heatwaves swept across the country, breaking temperature records and causing severe drought conditions. The resulting crop failures and water shortages caused significant economic losses for farmers and businesses.

Germany was hit several times by flooding disasters. Heavy rainfall caused rivers to overflow their banks, resulting in widespread flooding that caused significant damage to infrastructure, homes, and businesses. Apart from floods and heatwaves, Germany has also experienced severe winter storms, with high winds and heavy snowfall disrupting transport and causing power outages.

Rising temperatures and changes in precipitation patterns are expected to result in more frequent heatwaves, droughts, and flooding. This could have significant impacts on the economy, agriculture, and the environment, as well as on the health and wellbeing of the population.
